C-130 Maintenance Hangar - U.S. Navy, Belle Chasse, LA Mr. Luquet tested successfully and exceeded the stringent qualification requirements necessary for the position of Construction Quality Control Manager on the Navy’s C-130 Maintenance Hangar - a project to house two C-130 transport aircraft in tandem and requiring one of the most comprehensive, quality-oriented, Construction Administration programs in the industry. The hangar project included over 1/2 million square feet of new concrete airfield carefully detailed with expansion/contraction provisions and aircraft tie-down features, 2,500 feet of two lane asphalt surfaced roadway 2,500 feet of domestic water, sewer, storm drain, gas service and electrical utilities, a 33,000 square foot enclosed hangar with a 5-ton overhead electric crane, provisions to accommodate the hazardous jet fuel environment, an Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) Fire Extinguishing System, and a dry metallic shake floor topping for durability and reflectance; 24,000 square feet of office, shops and support area.
