G. Claude Dauphin is Nationally Certified by the NCARB. He is a Licensed Architect and an Associate with LUQUET ARCHITECTS, LLC. G. Claude Dauphin has been involved in the construction industry since the summer 1976 when he started with Boh Brothers as a laborer, truck driver and time keeper. It did not take long for him to work up to the position and responsibilities of Substitute Superintendent. He graduated in 1981 from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Architecture and continued to increase his knowledge and responsibilities in the Construction Industry. He developed his business talent while working for 2 of the more prominent firms as Contracts Manager until he became Co-Owner and President of the Subcontracting Firm, Dauphin Stewart Corp. of Covington, La being the driving force in the company’s grow to multi-million dollars of installations per year. In 1998, Mr. Dauphin received his certification from CSI as Construction Document Technologist. While Mr. Luquet and Mr. Dauphin have known one another since 1972, it was in 1999, when Mr. Dauphin started working with Mr. Luquet at one of the region’s larger and more diverse E/A firms. Together they completed the design, construction documents, bidding and construction administration of several Elementary School renovations, as well as several Pre-Hotel projects at the World Trade Center in New Orleans, including - the Building Condition Report, Reroofing, Adding Sprinklers, A New Fire Alarm System, Demolition of interior spaces, A New Heating System, Asbestos Remediation, and various code up-grades, all for the World Trade Center in New Orleans. In recent years, G. Claude Dauphin has retired from the Subcontracting aspects of the Construction Industry, only to be awarded NCARB Certification in 2015 and subsequent License as Architect in Louisiana. Mr. Dauphin’s first project after licensing was to undertake construction monitoring of the renovation of a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse/office with 10 acres of 8” concrete lay-out yard for the oil industry in New Iberia, La. He later acted as site coordinator for a three-story medical office building in Metairie, La. In 2016, Mr. Dauphin was involved in the Adaptive Reuse of The Kenner Rivertown Exhibition Hall and other connected buildings into school facilities for the Kenner Discovery Health Science Academy Throughout his career and while completing the work noted above, he has Developed projects including the financing, design and construction and has held most in his own real estate portfolio. Some of these include - lease spaces for a restaurant (New Orleans Po-boys), a radio studio (Mike Church), a food processing company (C & N Imports), and an Office warehouses for Three River Services, Southern Glass, Striker Construction, Autoglass Unlimited, and office space for Sunshine Media.
