As a major component of the design / build staff, Mr. Luquet contributed to both, the Architectural Design and the Construction of this mammoth facility. As the “on-site” Quality Control and Construction Administration Architect, Mr. Luquet provided assurance to the Owner that the facility was being built to the industry’s top level of quality in the most cost-effective means possible. - at 1.25 million square feet, this facility boasts as one of the largest of its kind in the U.S.
The building housed complete and extraordinary employee support facilities - including 80,000 sf Corporate Administrative and Executive Offices, a 300 seat Cafeteria served by an appropriately sized, fully equipped commercial Kitchen; a large nursery outfitted with juvenile fixtures and complimented with a computer teaching area..
Constructed of approximately 300 tilt-up concrete wall panels and 4,500 tons of steel, supported by Concrete pile caps and approximately 11,750 composite piles; thirty (30)+ football fields of either humidity controlled or air conditioned, enclosed building area; Capable of storing 110,000 pallets of merchandise to a height of 65 feet; High Floor loading capacities designed to be “Superflat” as part of the high density, narrow-aisle warehousing facility which uses hybrid storage and retrieval vehicles at the head of the material handling system.
